Nigeria born central defender Nedum Onuoha didn’t accept an apology from Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic after a recent MLS encounter.
The former Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, AC Milan, Barcelona, PSG and Manchester United forward netted the winning goal for LA Galaxy against Real Salt Lake and preceded to yell in Onuoha’s face during his celebration.
Ibrahimovic also caught Onuoha with a stray arm during the game, and then squared up to the player in the aftermath
“He came in to apologise after the game, because from 60 minutes in, he’s saying he’s going to do me, he’s going to hurt me for that game,” Onuoha said.
“This is a guy who is the face of MLS, as he calls himself, and he plays that way on the field.
“If someone comes in and says that to me, I’m not going to accept his apology. It’s unacceptable.”
Onuoha who defended the colours of Manchester City and Queens Park Rangers in his career rejected the chance to commit his international future to Nigeria in the past.
