Paul Onuachu was on target  for KRC Genk in the 4-1 victory over Waasland-Beveren on Saturday  at the Luminus Arena.

Onuachu was handed his 13th league appearance of the season and helped his side return to winning ways following midweek’s 4-0 bashing at the hands of Napoli in the Champions League.

The 25-year-old forward doubled his team’s advantage in the 26th minute following Theo Bongonda’s 10th minute opener.

Jhon Lucumi made it 3-0 for the Blue-Whites ten minutes before the break while Sander Berge added the fourth in the 69th minute.

The Super Eagles striker was substituted in the 84th minutes while Aleksandar Vukotić netted a consolation goal for the visitors two minutes before regulation time.

Onuachu netted his sixth goal of the season on the night while his compatriot and Nigerian teammate, Stephen Odey was an unused substitute against Waasland-Beveren.

The victory puts Genk on seventh position with 26 points in the 16-team league table.
