Paul Onuachu confirmed why he is rated one of the best forwards in Belgium, inspiring his side to a win against Kortrijk in the Jupiler League on Sunday.
Onuachu scored the first (17′) and assisted Genk’s second goal as they sealed a 2-0 win with a very robust first-half performance.
The 27 year-old, who now has 16 goals in the league this season, climbed to third on the top scorers standing behind only Deniz Undav (20) and Michael Frey (20).
However, the Nigerian is second in the league for the most shots (83) and Shots on target (40) behind Undav.
Last season Onuachu hit 33 goals in 38 appearances in the league, but his numbers this season might fall short with season past the half way mark and his form a concern.
Since returning from injury in January, He has scored four goals and provided two assists in his last seven games.
