Onuachu may lose key role at Genk after Genk weekend’s defeat


KRC Genk manager John Van den Brom has hinted at removing Paul Onuachu as the penalty taker in the team after the Striker missed his third spot-kick in four attempts on Sunday.

Onuachu was unsuccessful from the spot in the first half of Racing Genk’s 3-0 rout of RFC Seraing on September 26.
The designated penalty taker then missed twice in Sunday’s 2-0 loss to Sporting Charleroi.
Onuachu hadn’t missed any penalty he took for Genk before the start of this season, recording eleven goals from the spot.
He scored 11 goals in his his first twelve matches of 2021-2022 but has failed to find the back of the net in his last three games.
