Onuachu bounces back after long Injury lay off

Paul Onuachu returned to action for KRC Genk coming off the bench in the final 18 minutes of Sunday’s Jupiler League match against Waregem at the Elindus Arena.

Onuachu suffered a muscle injury in pre-season and it kept him out for over four weeks, but was named on the bench in Genk’s previous league game against KAS Eupen.
Sunday’s game ended 4-1 in favor of Genk as they go on a three-game winning streak.

The 28 year-old will hope to hit full fitness and reclaim his starter’s spot in the team as the season progresses.
However, it now seems that Onuachu might have to wait until the January transfer window to make a push for his desired move from the Jupiler League for a bigger challenge.
In the last two seasons, the Forward had been in the news over a possible transfer following his stellar performances.
Paul Onuachu scored a combined 54 goals in 73 league appearances for Genk in that time. He is currently in his fourth season at the club.
