Onuachu back scoring again and Genk’s confident of stunning West Ham

Paul Onuachu’s five game goal drought ended at the weekend with another assist from Junya Ito, but the two will be put to the test again on Thursday in the Europa League when Genk hosts West Ham at the Luminus Arena.

Onuachu scored in the second half of a 6-2 bashing against Waregem in the Jupiler League.
It was the second biggest win for the Blue-White in the league this season, but their form in the UEL hasn’t had such an interesting tale.
They are bottom of group H with a single win – which they won by a single goal margin – from three matches.
Back to back defeats to Dinamo Zagreb and tomorrow’s visitors have also seen them ship in six goals.
For Paul Onuachu and his teammates they have perhaps just two games to get their campaign back on track.
Reviewing the fixture, Genk’s tactical team are quite hopeful the team will deliver an improved performance and better result.
“That 3-0 in London was also not an exact reflection of what had happened on the turf. We hadn’t taken our moments, and our mistakes were punished every time.
But two weeks later, another wind blows. Two six goals have brought confidence back and our players believe there is something in it. A good performance would already be something, but a result with points gain should be recorded as a ‘stunt’. There is nothing wrong with going for it, trying is a virtue in this regard.”
