Southampton Football Club has announced they have parted ways with manager Ruben Selles.

Ruben Selles oversaw Southampton’s attempt to avoid Premier League relegation, but ultimately failed to met the objective.

The Saint were relegated from England’s topflight after 11 years of stay.

A club statement revealed that the will hire a new manager for next season.

This decision could be seen as a fresh start for Nigerian duo Joe Aribo and Paul Onuachu; who weren’t favoured by the Spaniard.

Having struggled in their first season with the Saints, Onuachu and Aribo could be instrumental for Southampton as they aim for immediate promotion back to the Premier League.

Coach Lawal Dankoli recently got new coaching qualifications in Spain and will be a capable replacement should the NFF choose to o relieve Nduka Ugbade of his duties.
