Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed that only PSG can afford to buy striker Victor Osimhen, dismissing the possibility of a move to England.

De Laurentiis made this assertion during an interview, singling out PSG as the sole club capable of affording Osimhen.

Manchester United is in need of a Forward this summer to address their scoring difficulties, given their heavy reliance on Marcus Rashford for goals in the previous season.

Recent reports suggested that the Red Devils would be unable to secure Osimhen’s signature and have shifted their focus to Danish international Rasmus Højlund.

Similarly, Chelsea, who struggled with goal-scoring last season, have also been linked with the 24-year-old Nigerian.

However, financial constraints prevent them from pursuing Osimhen any further.

In the interview, De Laurentiis mentioned PSG as the only club with the financial capacity to acquire his club’s prized asset, hinting at a potential transfer fee.

“The only club that could afford Victor Osimhen is Paris Saint-Germain,” as reported by the Daily Mail.

“If Nasser Al Khelaifi [PSG president] wants to make a bid around £170m, we will wait and see what happens. Personally, I believe Victor will stay here.”

With the possibility of Kylian Mbappe leaving PSG for Real Madrid, the French Ligue 1 champions have identified the former Lille forward as an ideal replacement for the French superstar.
