Trabzonspor of Turkey midfielder, Eddy Ogenyi Onazi has confirmed his return from a long term injury, as he says he is now back in full training with the Turkish Super Lig club.
Onazi took to social media to disclose his return after almost four months of inactivity, as he had been out with an a ruptured Achilles tendon complaint that required surgery in December.
The 26-year-old former SS Lazio of Italy midfield battler made a special reference to Trabzonspor’s coach, Unal Karaman, who earlier posted a goodwill message to wish the Super Eagles star speedy return.
Onazi, who will now aim to go straight back into the Trabzon-based club’s starting squad and help them seal a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League, stated categorically that the coach is his teacher.
The Nigeria’s 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup silver medalist, who played 16 games for Trabzonspor, with two goals to his name, before his injury, will also look to improve on his ball-winning abilities.
Onazi, who won more tackles and had more successful passes than any other player for the club in the ongoing campaign, stated: “My coach and teacher, your student is back.”
