Udinese continued their dream start to the season with a dramatic win away at Verona on Monday night.

A stoppage time goal from Jaka Bijol handed Udinese all three points at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.

Josh Doig scored the game’s opener in the 23rd minute, a situation that presented Andrea Sottil’s side a major test.

It was a test they would find a perfect answer for late on in the second half when substitute, Beto, drew I Friulani level on the night.

Beto replaced Isaac Success, the latter saw just under an hour of football in his 8th Serie A appearance this season, but struggled to make a real impact.

The substitution was one of triple changes effected in the 58th minute and the tactical move was an act of ingenuity, because a little over ten minutes after coming on, the equalizer was scored.

Udinese had won five games on the bounce, heading into last night’s match and the giant killers this season were poised; looking the likelier to break that deadlock.

Two minutes into stoppage time, Binol struck the match winner, turning game around and securing maximum points that moves Udinese into third on the standings.

Next up is a home game against second placed Atalanta, who themselves scrapped to a 1-0 win at the weekend, courtesy Ademola Lookman’s goal.
