Kenneth Omeruo scored on his return to league action with CD Leganes since November 5 to inspire the team to a 2-0 win against Malaga on Saturday.
Omeruo last featured for Los Pepineros in the win against Huesca in November, missing five matches in the process – but he has been handed Copa del Rey action in between.
The 28 year-old CB has managed only 9 league appearances in the Segunda this term as Lega struggle and are almost out of contention for promotion.
Juan Munoz scored the second against Malaga to secure maximum points for Leganes as they climb to 15th in the table.
