Super Eagles and Leganes of Spain defender, Kenneth Omeruo has hailed his team’s performance as they held Real Madrid to a draw at the Burtaque last night. Omeruo was on hand from start to finish in a local derby match against Real Madrid the match ended 1-1.
Speaking exclusively to footballlive.ng via chat after the match, the Leganes defender said “We actually wanted to win the game, because we were well prepared for the match but it ended in a stalemate.
“We are pleased to picked a point than losing at home . It was a very tough game that was full of action”.
“Playing top games like this is good for me, I have played against Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Valencia all this season which is good for me as a professional player, playing my first season in top Spanish league. So far it has been a season worthy of note for me as a player. Leganes has not lost a game at home against any top 7 side in the La Liga this season”.
