Omeruo gets game time in Leganes’ poor pre-season form

It is now been back to back games for Kenneth Omeruo in pre-season for CD Leganes after Saturday’s match against Elche.

Omeruo got a starter’s berth in his side’s third pre-season friendly game – and in back to back games – having started the off season on the bench in the game against Andorra.
He was handed just under an hour of game time with the scoreline 1-1, Leganes had taken the lead in the 35th minute and were in front until the 51st minute when the opposition leveled up.
Seven minutes after conceding, Leganes Boss Imanol Idiakez called on his subs, a double change in the 58th minute saw Omeruo and goalscorer Juan Munoz replaced.
Eventually, Three more changes will follow, but, Elche responded well and they struck with what was the winning goal.
Spanish Midfielder, Tete Monrete grabbed a 70th minute dagger to hand the Segunda Liga side a second defeat in pre-season.
Next up for the Madrid-based team is the season’s opening game against Alaves at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque on August 13.
