CD Leganes are actively seeking to sell Kenneth Omeruo before the closure of the transfer window in an effort to reduce their financial burden.

As quoted by Spanish Newspaper Diario AS, Leganes are hoping to receive a suitable offer for Omeruo, who is now 29.

The CB initially joined CD Leganes on a season-long loan from Chelsea in 2018.

Following a successful loan spell, the transfer was made permanent in the summer of 2019 for £5 million.

The Spanish club highly values the Super Eagles player and believes they can secure a substantial transfer fee for him during this summer window.

With just one year remaining on his current contract, Leganes are keen on selling Omeruo now rather than risk losing him for free next year.

Kenneth Omeruo is an integral part of the team, and one of the top earners at Leganes, but the Club are shaping up for the new season with a different project.
