Kenneth Omeruo watched on from the CD Leganés bench as his side fell 1-0 at home in their La Liga season opener against Osasuna on Saturday.
Coming fresh off his permanent move from Chelsea, Omeruo was a spectator on Los Pepineros, with Manager Mauricio Pellegrino opting to rest the Center half.
The defender did not have a pre-season, having been on international duty with Nigeria at the 2019 AFCON.

Osasuna’s winner came in the 75th minute through Argentine attacker Chimy Avila.
The home side also suffered a blow, losing midfielder Oscar, who was shown a straight red after a rash challenge on an opponent.
Meanwhile, new loan signing Chidozie Awaziem was not named in the matchday squad.
