Super Eagles CB Kenneth Omeruo anticipates a challenging encounter as the team prepares to take on Sierra Leone in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, on Sunday.

Victory for the Super Eagles will secure their qualification for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Ivory Coast.

On the other hand, if Sierra Leone gets a win against Nigeria, they will have a chance to keep their qualification hopes alive, and avenge the 2-1 defeat from the reverse fixture.

“Of course, I am not expecting it to be an easy game because they (Sierra Leone) want to win, and still have hope of qualification.

“But, we are going there with the ambition to win the game and seal our qualification,” Omeruo said.

“I’m ready to play if chosen. At the end of the day, it is a team and a team we have to go there with one mind, hoping to win the game.”
