Nigerian midfielder Azubuike Okechukwu returned to action with Istanbul Basaksehir and helped his side to a narrow 1-0 win over Galatasaray SK.
Okechukwu was right back in the fray after his involvement with Nigeria at the U23 AFCON, and the tricky trip to the Türk Telekom Stadium was a huge reprieve.
Basaksehir finally got the break through when Irfan Kahveci set up Fredrik Gulbrandsen for the only goal of the game in the 78th minutes of the game.
The win put the away side on top of the log with 22 points from 12 games, one point ahead of second place Sivasspor who has a in hand.
