Aaron Olanare scored his first goal of the league season to help his team Erzurum BB secure a 2-0 win against Genclerbirligi at the Kâzım Karabekir Stadyumu on Tuesday.
Olanare who joined the Turkish Lig 1 club in July and has since made 13 appearances for Erzurum.
On Tuesday, the 27 year-old was named in the starting XI and despite a drab first half, the hosts raised their game and were rewarded in the 64th minute with the game’s opener.
Emircan Altintas broke the deadlock before Olanare found the back of the net six minutes later.
The win helped the team bounce back to winning ways after last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Kocaelispor and they go top of the standings.
Genclerbirligi also had a Nigerian in the matchday squad, Blessing Eleke was a second half substitute.
Eleke was called off the bench in the 68th minute, but the forward couldn’t help his team salvage the game.
