Okoronkwo Wins Montreal Impact POTY

Former Golden Eaglets star Orji Okonkwo has been named Major League Soccer (MLS) side, Montreal Impact Player of the 2019 season.

Okoronkwo who is on loan from Italian side, Bologna scored eight times in 28 league appearances for the Club last season to clinched the award.

 

Okonkwo was on target in Montreal Impact 3-0 over New York RedBull in last Thursday’s MLS clash.

 

Montreal are 9th on the Eastern Conference log with 41 points from 34 matches.

 

Okwonkwo is part of Nigeria’s current U-23 squad and was part of the Golden Eaglets side that won the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile in 2015.
