Okereke on target, Dessers struggles as Cremonese fall in San Siro

David Okereke and Cyriel Dessers both featured in Cremonese’s defeat away from home against Serie A title favorites Inter Milan on Tuesday.

The duo started up front for the fourth time as Cremonese continue to chase their first win of the Serie A season.
The duo linked up well, but Inter Milan defense was far too superior for the Strikers.
Inter Milan drew the first blood after Cremonese goalkeeper parried Edin Dzeko’s short into the path of Angel Correa.
Nicolo Barella got the second in spectacular fashion when his perfect volley from the edge of the area on a Hakan Calhanoglu pass, flew to the back of the net.
Cremonese’s best chance to pull one back in the second half fell to Dessers after Okereke located him with a pass in side the box, but the forward attempted an overhead kick and spurned it.
Minutes later he was taken off as he also continues his search for a debut Serie A goal.
Barrela then provided the assist for Inter Milan’s third scored by substitute Lautaro Martinez.
But, the visitors will get a late consolation goal as Okereke curled home a fine strike – his second goal in four league games.
Next up for Massimiliano Alvini’s men is a home game against Sassuolo this weekend.
