Nigeria’s U23 captain, Azubuike Okechukwu was on parade for Istanbul Başakşehir as they picked a 1-0 away win against Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Ligat the Türk Telekom Stadium on Friday night.
Basaksehir lined up against Galatasaray with Azubuike in the middle of the park as both teams failed to get the breakthrough in the first half.
Fredrik Gulbrandsen’s 75th-minute strike sealed the win for Okan Buruk’s side ending the Lions’ 41-game home unbeaten streak.
The 22-year old Nigeria midfielder, who saw 73-minutes of action in the grueling encounter , took to social media to celebrate the win.

The win sends them into first place with 22 points on the league table, and are up next against AS Roma in the UEFA Europa League.
