Enyimba goalkeeper, Ojo Olorunleke has expressed his disappointment regarding his team’s early exit from the 2023 CAF Champions League.

Al Ahli Benghazi knocked out the Nigerian champions, 4-3 on aggregate, and all the goals came in the first leg of the tie. Enyimba was held to a goalless result in Aba.

In a social media post, Ojo expressed disappointment about the outcome, but also assured fans that the team will do all it can to expunge the sad situation.

“It’s painful to see the fans disappointed. But we will bounce back and make them (fans) proud.”

Finidi George and his boys would be hoping to replicate their domestic success from last season, when they lifted the league title.
