Ojigwe urges free and fair NFF Election

The Electoral committee set up for the NFF elections must deliver a crisis free Election and be the neutral arbiter in the process without “fear or favor”, according to Ex Super Eagles star Karibe Ojigwe.

Ojigwe, who is also running for the leadership of the NFF told FL that those who will be making the decisions should act in the best interest of Nigerian football.

‘They must make the process a free and fair one, in a manner which would see even any candidate who loses to be able to walk away and prepare himself better for the elections the following tenure,’ the former International said.

The NFF have now however, put a pause on the electoral process due to threats being issued by football stakeholders in the country, over what they feel is a breach to the constitution guiding the football body.

With this new development, an official announcement is yet to be made concerning when the election would take place, as against the 30th of September initially touted for the process in Edo state.
