Remo Stars manager, Daniel Ogunmodede, is confident that the team can grab a playoff ticket and has set the target of a win against Enyimba in Aba, to kick start their push.

Despite the season coming to an end soon, Ogunmodede remains optimistic about the team’s chances.

With the draw on Sunday, Remo Stars remain fourth in Group A, with four games left to play.

The team also has a suspended points deduction, as punishment for the match disruption against Gombe United.

Bendel Insurance, on the other hand, still lead the table with four points, and are ahead of Enyimba who are second.

Ogunmodede lamented the missed opportunities that has left his team without a win since the resumption of the league.

Despite the challenge of being in a group that includes Akwa United and Plateau United, who are also contending for spots in the top three, the Coach is still optimistic about the team’s chance of qualifying for a playoff spot.

“I don’t feel too good about the result, but I just need to pick up the pieces to help my players continue to go strong,” the Remo Stars Coach stated.

“It’s three consecutive draws, but don’t forget that we have not lost in the second round as well. We are now thinking about the next game, to go to Aba and get the three points there, it’s possible. On our chances, I will say most likely, we will keep fighting till the end.”
