Gbenga Ogunbote has officially joined Shooting Stars SC ahead of the new NPFL season.

Ogunbote was unveiled by the management of the Oluyole Warriors in Ibadan this afternoon, after signing his contract.
The manager signed a two-year deal and will replace Edith Agoye who tinkered the team for six years.

Ogunbote, who is back at the club for his third stint, will be aiming to surpass his previous record come next season.
“I want to sincerely inform you that Shooting Stars is a traditional club with rich history. Bringing back the club’s lost glory is not the issue or duty of Ogunbote as an individual but it is going to be a responsibility of everybody and all stakeholders including the government – owners of the club,” the new 3SC Coach said.
“Because of the work I did previously here is the reason why I was asked to come back and work again and I’m hopeful that we will achieve something this third time.”
Ogunbote left his role at Remo Stars after his one-year deal expired, where he guided the Ikenne-based team to a third place finish in the league and secure a CAF Confederations Cup spot.
