OGC Nice firmly had their destiny in their own hands but let it slip as Basel came from behind to secure passage to the semi-final of the Europa Conference league after extra time.

After playing out a 2-2 draw in the first-leg, where Moffi was the star of the show with two goals, Nice took the lead early in the return fixture as Gaetan scored in the 9th minute.

The French outfit looked to be cruising to qualification when disaster struck.

Basel got an 86th-minute equalizer and forced the game into extra time where they won it in the 98th minute.

Moffi was in action for 73 minutes and was substituted before Nice collapsed.
