Igoh Ogbu was one of the goalscorers as Slavia Prague steamrolled Sheriff Tiraspol, 6-0, in the Europa League group D clash at the Eden Arena.
Ogbu got the team’s second goal in the 6th minute as they raced to a 2-0 first half lead – Mojmir Chyfil had scored the opener two minutes earlier.
Chyfil got a second goal late in the game (71st), Munashe Garananga (39′ OG), Ivan Schranz (47′) and David Doudera (58) were the other scorers.
Slavia Prague top the group with maximum points from two games, followed by AS Roma who have the same amount of points but have an inferior goals difference.
Roma were also free scoring in their matchday 2 fixture, putting four goals past Servette in Rome.
Andrea Belotti got a brace while Romelu Lukaku and Lorenzo Pellegrini completed the routing.
In the Europe Conference League, Toluwalase Arokodare started Genk’s game against Cukaricki at the Gradski stadion Dubočica.
Arokodare could not find his scoring boots, but Genk scaled the hurdle on the night with a 2-0 win.
First half goals from Ghana’s Joseph Paintsil and Bryan Heynen ensured the win.
