Bendel Insurance head Coach, Monday Odigie says the team fell short of their objective in the NPFL match against Remo Stars over the weekend.

Remo Stars hosted the Group A leaders, Sunday, in a keenly contested game, but the sides settled for a share of the spoils.

Insurance maintained their unbeaten streak, and Odigie praised his players for their effort in the match.

“We tried our best and we hoped for victory before the game, but we take this point as it came and hope to bounce back with a good display in our next game,” the Bendel Insurance coach said after the game.

“We are getting closer to our objective which is securing a Super Six spot. It is important for the players not to relent at this crucial point of the season.

“We know how difficult things can be now with a lot of teams fighting for the Super Six and also others battling to escape relegation.”

Bendel Insurance are still unbeaten this season after 14 games with a seven wins and same amount of draws.

However, they have just one win in their last six games since the resumption of the second half of the season.
