Bayelsa Queens midfielder Esther Udegbe has called on the management of the NWPL to add more fanfare to the league by creating awareness and sportainment as well as branding to boost the image of the league.

Udegbe expressed her thoughts in what was a frank assessment of where the NWPL was relative to what she had experienced abroad during her time in Belarus and Finland.

She recanted her experience from the stress of the recently concluded regular season while looking forward to the Super 4 which would kick off at a yet to be announced date.

The defender admitted the most difficult fixture they faced was against Nasarawa Amazons, whom she felt played at a level similar to her team.

“The game against Nasarawa Amazons. They are equally as good as we are and they gave us a tough time,” Udegbe told told www.brila.net.

She also commended the improvement in the league; “Things are changing, the officiating is better with good stadium atmosphere as well as management making sure everything is fine with players and the league.”
