Kelechi Nwakali came off the bench for SD Huesca on Monday in the Segunda Division match against Real Oviedo after his recovery from a knock.
Nwakali missed one game and hoped to return to help his team bounce back from their first defeat of the season, but it would not prove to be.
Huesca were a goal down before the Nigerian Midfielder was brought on. The visitors drew first blood with just 12 minutes of the first half played.
After the break, a double change by Ignacio Ambriz sparked some life in Huesca’s attack and a minute later, the Estadio El Alcoraz crowd were celebrating an equalizer.
However, with 10 minutes to the end of the encounter, Real Oviedo’s FW Samuel Obeng struck and it proved the winner in a keenly contested match.
The defeat saw Ambriz’s side drop to seventh on the log after four rounds of matches.
