Rivers United forward, Nyima Nwagua, has charged his teammates to set their target’s high for next season, after relinquishing the league crown to Enyimba this term.

Enyimba’s league triumph, their 9th, was at the expense of Rivers United, and Nwagua lamented the team’s failed bid in the League campaign.

“I feel gutted we couldn’t bring the trophy home, but I’m however proud of this team, we fought till the end,” Nwagua said.

“We look forward to next season in the league and on the continent.

“I want to thank the good people of Rivers State, our supporters and well-wishers for their unflinching support.”

After being unable to usurp second placed Remo Stars, in the NPL Playoffs, Rivers United will play in the CAF Confederation Cup, next season.
