Enyimba FC coach, Finidi George has stated that the early fixtures of the Super 6 is unfair to his team and has a negative impact on the players’ recovery as they finish games exhausted.

Enyimba have played their first two fixtures at 2:30 pm and their next match, against Bendel Insurance, is scheduled within the same hour.

According to Finidi George, the environment is not conducive, and he regrets that it’s a situation beyond his control.

“In the last game we got a draw in a match we deserved to win but today it was difficult and energy sapping, when you play 2pm it’s not easy; it’s really demanding for the players, but, I think at the end of the day we deserve the three points even if it is one goal, I think the defenders did a solid job,” George said.

“We don’t make the rules but when the draws came out and we found ourselves playing three games by 2pm, it’s really demanding, as you can see I did not play but I am sweating and really thirsty to drink water.

“You must commend Lobi Stars as well even though we won the match, the next game is 2 o’clock again and I am only thinking about how I will get this players to come back.”
