NPFL Team Of The Week 19

The Oriental Derby between Heartland and Abia Warriors ended in an incredible 4-2 victory for the Umuahia Warriors, as Delta Force found an easy win at Elkanemi Warriors with Rivers United only drawing with Kwara United.

Bendel Insurance did well to defeat Katrina United, with Niger Tornadoes losing and Enyimba and MFM only getting one point.

Our Team of the Week will see a 3-4-3 formation deployed.

Abiodun Akande – Rivers United

At least eight clear saves to keep Rivers United in the game and gave his team the chance to draw at Kwara United.

Kunle Odunlami – Rivers United

The way Odunlami composed himself was divine, adding to his constant hard work and defensive attitude.

Musa Abdullahi – Wikki Tourists

At times he suffered at the back in Aba, but was in control when Enyimba had chances on the counter.

Nworie Fabian – Delta Force

The no nonsense Fabian gave a very solid show for the Asaba based side as his team won against Elkanemi Warriors.

Emeka Isaac – Abia Warriors

What a goal to equalise in Okigwe, and then battling in the middle throughout the game.

Fatai Abdullahi – Abia Warriors

The hard work to give balance to Emmanuel Deutshe’s side with an added goal to put the game with Heartland to bed.

Kehinde Adedipe – Kwara United

The former Sunshine Stars midfielder showed glimpses of his talent with some deft touches and organisation of the midfield.

Promise Damala – Wikki Tourists

Simply unbelievable. His goal was well taken. Wikki Tourists shared the spoils thanks to his work ethics.

Ibrahim Olawoyin – Abia Warriors

The winger is the rave of the moment in the NPFL. Olawoyin showed why he is highly rated with a classy display in the derby. His goal was sumptous.

Ajimokoko Ufuoma – Delta Force

Ufuoma insured Delta Force with a goal in the victory over Elkanemi Warriors. He never fails to deliver.

Adimorama Eze – Bendel Insurance

Eze has been Bendel Insurance’s added value this season and keeps on showing it. He had a brace in the bag.
