Plateau United CB Golbe Elisha has praised the efforts of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) for the measures proposed ahead the resumption of the NPFL.

Golbe however warns that the success of the NPFL rests on full implementation of laid down regulations.

“Based on their strategic plans, I think they will do their best to bring the league to its past glory, and I want them to do away with selfish interest if they want to achieve their set goals,” the Plateau United captain said.

He also expressed his disappointment with how football affairs have been managed in Nigeria.

“Personally as a player,I feel dismayed with the way football affairs is been handled in the country because even the next week kick off is not certain, but we as a team we are training hard to make sure we are in good shape.”

An abridged format have been adopted for the upcoming season to ensure that the league is compliant with CAF’s calendar, and it’s set to kick off January 8, 2023.
