Wikki Tourists Coach Aliyu Zubair has praised his players after the 2-1 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) week 14 win over relegation haunted Remo Stars on Sunday.
Goals from Issa Gata and Abdullahi Musa gave the Giant Elephants victory at the Pantami Stadium and speaking at his post-match with Footballlive.ng, Zubair laid the credit for the triumph at the feet of his squad.
“We played a very complete game and I’m delighted for the players,” Zubair said.
“They have shown great sacrifice and are true professionals.
“The team feels a lot better now and we keep improving. But we have to recover quickly because we have another important game on Sunday.”
Zubair added that preparation was what delivered the result.
“We know how Remo Stars play and we studied them in detail,” he continued.
“The players applied what we worked on to perfection. We didn’t make mistakes.”
