NPFL: NO MORE RELEGATION PLEASE – EX INSURANCE CAPTAIN PLEAD

As the Nigeria Professionals Football League hots up, former captain of Bendel Insurance FC of Benin City, Gabriel Benson is fervently praying against relegation of the famous Edo Arsenal amidst unconvincing results so far.

 

Insurance returned to the elite division after over a decade in lower league ,prompting the former captain to call for prayers by fans and hard work by players and officials.

 

The Rivers born ex midfield General in midst Osaze Odenwingie, Kareem Shuaibu, Pius Ikedia, Chukwudi Nwoha and co said another relegation would be terribly bad.

 

Benson presently undergoing training at NIS Lagos told footballlive.ng that it was fun playing for a big club like Insurance between 1999, 2006 and was sad by relegation that came after his exit.

“My appeal is for present players to work harder to maintain the NPFL status. The Edo State government should ensure good welfare package for players. I have also sent goodwill message to my friend, present captain Charles Omokaro. Fans should pray and support Bendel Insurance”. He concluded.
