Former Super Eagles defender, Sam Sodje has hit out at the administrators of the Nigerian Premier Football League over the inconsistencies related to the administration.
In a chat on Brila FM’s ‘No Holds Barred With Ifeanyi Udeze’, Sodje argued that the people tasked with handling the league last season did a good job, but questions why things have been rather slow for the commencement of this term.
He went on to explain that he had high expectations of the current administration, after last season’s success, but it is rather disappointed that things have stayed the same – as it used to be.
Sodje’s comments after the resumption date for the new League season had been postponed twice already, and so fans as well as the Players have lost faith.
“I thought when this administration comes in, there will be some things that will change but it just looks like the same thing that happened before.
“It’s so sad because as players you are really ready for league but you don’t know exactly how to prepare yourself, but the way things look now it’s like they don’t even know when it’s going to start so preparation is always upside down.”
The new NPFL season has been billed to start this weekend however, but there are a lot of skepticism around the news.
it is still largely speculated that it might not necessarily be concrete as it had been the case in times past.
