A new date for the resumption of the new NPFL has been tentatively set for December 18th.
The management company in charge of overseeing the affairs of the NPFL, The LMC, was dissolved in a bid to improve the quality of the league in what is said to be a new era of league football.
An Interim management committee was commissioned to takeover the reigns, to guide the NPFL back to the right path for development.
The new league season was delayed owing to various happenings in the Nigeria Football Federation, including its general elections and the dissolution of the LMC.
With an abridged league now agreed upon, the new NPFL season is now expected to resume, albeit tentatively, for December 18th, 2022.
The new date is still subject to an approval from The Nigeria Football Federation, as per the commencement of the new season.
