Even as they have been crowned champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) 2017/18 season, the Vice-Chairman of Lobi Stars of Makurdi Mike Idoko has said the recent success of the club is just like a flight taking off.
He stated that the team will be more successful in the near future considering the deep support of the Benue people and government.
Idoko also urged Nigerians not to entertain any worry as his team is ready to represent them next season in the CAF Champions league in the best possible way.
“You are yet to see anything from Lobi Stars. We have done well so far with the CAF Champions League ticket to represent Nigeria on the continent. Our case is just like a flight just taking off. There is more to come from us,” Idoko told Footballlive.ng.
“Our success won’t have been made possible without the support of Benue government and the good people in the state. We owe them a lot of gratitude.”
“We are more than capable of representing Nigeria very well in the CAF Champions League. There is no need for Nigerians to be afraid of our credentials for the competition.”
