Ifeanyi George believes Rangers’ current form has led to a positive atmosphere among the players.
George was involved as the Flying Antelopes pipped Katsina United 1-0 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) week 14 on Sunday.
The utility player is quoted by Footballlive.ng as rating Wednesday’s NPFL game against Kwara United as one of the most important of the season.
But George believes the good mood at Rangers will stand them in good stead.
“The situation is very, very good, excellent, and we are very happy,” he said.
“There’s a lot left to do but we have a good cushion [on the teams below] and the chance to make the gap bigger.
“This is a key game for Kwara United but so too for us. If we can win it would be a tremendous blow to them.”
Rangers are currently second in the table, they face Kwara United in a rescheduled game on Wednesday.
“From now on, each game is vital,” George continued.
“Kwara United is a game that matters a lot and should be a good game.
“I expect a great atmosphere [at the Kwara Stadium Complex].
“We have a great opportunity to do well but it’s a challenge because it’s a hard place to go against a very strong side. But we have to show we belong here.
