MFM FC head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu says he’s knows Niger Tornadoes will be hard nut for his side to crack because of their battle against relegation.
Having surrendered top three position in Group A, MFM FC travelled to Kontagora Stadium to dare the Ikon Allah boys as they hope to wrestle a ticket from either Enyimba International or Lobi Stars of Makurdi, but Ismaila Sarki’s early strike dashed the hope of the Olukoya Boys picking a something from the game .
Fidelis Ilechukwu who bemoans his side’s lack of experience players all season said he’s with the performance of his wards in the defeat.
“It was not a bad game. We knew it’s going to be a tough game as Niger Tornadoes are trying to escape relegation.”
“I knew they will put in all their best which they did. It was the reflection of the victory for the Minna team. My boys did well but that second minute goal was what dashed our hope of picking another vital point on the road.
“We are still fighting hard to play in the playoff and hopefully we will achieve our aim as a team at the end of the season,” he said.”
The loss means that MFM playoff hopes are not in their hand , Enyimba and Lobi has to falters along the line for the Olukoya Boys to stand a chance again.
