Elkanemi Warriors forward Bello Koformata is confident his team will recover from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) week 14 defeat to Kano Pillars, reports Footballlive.ng.
The Desert Warriors lost 2-1 to Pillars in Kano and Koformata who bagged the consolation goal for Warriors told Footballlive.ng in a post-match interview that he has faith in his side not to let the result damage their form.
“This is an experienced team and we’ve already gone through difficult times and recovered,” he said.
“We’re disappointed but we’ll pick ourselves back up for the game next Sunday against Plateau United.
“The team will work hard and face them believing we can come back.
“First though we have to recover physically and mentally for Sunday.”
The former Kano Pillars forward warned it will take an enormous effort to do so.
“We need to show strength in the face of adversity,” he continued.
“I think we can do it again, but it is a big challenge.
“We feel bad about this result in Kano and it’s hard to hold up our heads but we have to, and we have to win against Plateau United.”
Elkanemi Warriors are second on the Group B table with 25 points from 14 games.
