NPFL club will adopt Liverpool’s style against Asante Kotoko

Pillars FC Head Coach, Ibrahim Musa is confident of his side’s chances in Kumasi, to pick up an “outright” win against Ghana’s Asante Kotoko in their CAF Champions League qualifier this weekend.

Pillars won the first-leg of the qualifier 3-2 and need just a draw to secure their qualification through to the first round.

Speaking with, Musa, however, ruled out any idea of the team playing for a draw.

” We’re not going there to draw, we are going there to win as we won in Kano,” the Coach stated.

” I’m not used to playing defensive. I love to attack because when you attack, you can pressurize your opponent but when you defend, you allow them to play against you even in your area, so I ‘m not just used to playing defensive even my league and FA cup.”

“They are very lucky to get those two goals which they shouldn’t have been. The goals we conceded were set pieces, which is our weakness and since that match we have worked on it.”

Kano Pillars are scheduled to depart for Ghana on Friday morning; 48 hours before game day.
