NPFL: Bature Yaro opened up on Kano Pillars season


Kano Pillars midfielder Bature Yaro has disclosed that the team is happy with their new find form in the league and want to sustain it till the end of the campaign.


The Sai Masu Gida recovered from early blip to record impressive wins, including the 2-1 win over Group B leaders El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri in Kano last Sunday.

However, The former Nasarawa United player told that the team is happy with their steady progress, but are satisfied with their current position on log .

“Not at all but still working hard to be where we suppose to be ad that’s top of the log”
“But thank God we are improving every game”.

On his inability to start every game , the 2017 Nigeria Professional Football League winner said the coach has the final say on team selection and the team just want to be successful on the pitch , irrespective of who’s in the line up.

“Yeah, I didn’t start every game but I played all the game,”

“Starting games or not, the goal is to make our fans proud by winning the league or to bring back the glory days of continental football to Kano state”

“I’m very much happy here and proud of my teammates and the management as whole”

Kano Pillars are fourth on the log of NPFL Group B with 23 points from 14 games , 2 points behind leaders Akwa United and El Kanemi Warriors and a point behind third place FC Ifeayin Ubah.
