Plateau United manager, Fidelis Ilechukwu has expressed his displeasure at the IMC stipulated abridged league format for the upcoming season.
Speaking on Brila FM, Ilechukwu stressed the difficulty of the league format, but concedes Plateau United will have to prepare hard for the season.
“I don’t like it at all, but when it comes like that you just have to meet up,” the Coach said.
“For me it is not what I like, but it might even favour us at the end of the day. There are too many disadvantages than advantages; one mistake could mar you.
“There is no margin for error because in full seasons, if you lose a game you can envisage covering things up in subsequent games, but this format does not afford you that.”
“The mistakes you will make in abridged league, you will suffer greatly for it, it is very hard.”
