In an effort to strengthen their attack before the 2023–24 English Premier League season, Nottingham Forest have intensified negotiations with Kelechi Iheanacho.

Last week, Forest had early discussions with the Leicester City striker, and they have preparations in place to close the deal quickly.

Following Leicester’s relegation to the championship last season, reports suggest Iheanacho has asked to be sold this summer.

Iheanacho made 206 appearances with the team, scoring 55 goals and dishing out 33 assists.

Indeed Leicester will want to sell the Nigerian and recoup some fee from the Player’s sale, with just a year left on his contract.

Meanwhile, the Forward’s arrival could spell the end of Emmanuel Dennis’ Forest stay, as he has now been deemed surplus to requirement and put up for sale.
