FC Basel of Switzerland’s Nigerian-born youngster, Noah Okafor has gained summer transfer interest from Manchester City of England, Borussia Dortmund of Germany and Inter Milan of Italy.
Footballlive.ng learnt that all three top clubs are already in a race to hook the fast-rising attacker, who was born in Switzerland but is on the radar of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for an invitation to the under-23 national team, Olympic Eagles.
Okafor, though, will have to weigh his options in deciding on his next career step, as his recent contract extension states that he is tied to Basel until the 2022-2023 season ends.
Basel gave Okafor a new deal just 12 days ago to ward off interest from across Europe, haven earlier signed a professional contract in January 2018, after the 18-year-old broke into their main team.
He is now a regular in Basel’s first 11 in recent weeks, with starting roles in their last four matches and contributed feet in two goals for the side.
