Bright Osayi-Samuel was a revelation when he made his debut for the Super Eagles in the friendly encounter against Portugal.

Despite the team losing 4-0, he was easily the best player on the pitch for Nigeria and even won a penalty that Dennis Emmanuel, treacherously, missed.

The full-back could earn his second cap, when Nigeria host Guinea-Bissau in Abuja, and Osayi-Samuel spoke fondly about his experience so far in the national team, for the first time in Nigeria.

“Everyone has welcomed me which is very important,” Osayi-Samuel told FL.

“I have played against some of the players before, so, I know some of the faces here. But as a group, everyone has welcomed me and it just makes me more confident.

Osayi-Samuel also revealed that he is not feeling any pressure to deliver, but admits he’s motivated to give his best for the team, and show them how good he is.

“For me, I am a guy that is chill and I take it as it goes so the pressure is not a problem for me.

“It’s always nice when you have the players welcoming you and making you feel like you are part of them, so for me I just want to show them how good I can be and bring my strength to the team.”
