Goals from Erick Choupo-Moting (61′) and Serge Gnabry (89′) helped Bayern Munich on their way to a 2-0 win in the UEFA Champions League second-leg, round of 16 clash against Paris Saint-Germain at the Allainz Arena on Wednesday.
Bayern Munich competed a sweep of the tie following their first-leg 1-0 Victor, courtesy a Kingsley Coman goal against his former club.
Wednesday’s result means also the second attempt and failure of Lionel Messi to carry PSG in the competition.
In London, on the same night, Antonio Conte saw his Tottenham Hotspur side get knocked out of the UCL too.
Tottenham trailed in the first-leg, 1-0 to AC Milan, but couldn’t find a way past the Serie A side’s defence on the night.
To compound their troubles, in the 77th minute, defender Cristian Romero was shown a second yellow card and Spurs finished the game with 10 men.
Draw for the quarter-final pairing will hold next week Friday.
