Onazi Ogenyi and Zalgiris will drop even further from the Europa League to the Conference league in their hope for European football this season after the disappointing 1-0 aggregate defeat to Slovenia side Mura on Thursday night.
Onazi played the duration of the second-leg clash at the LFF Stadionas, home ground of Zalgiris.
However, Vladimir Cheburin’s men could not get themselves across the line in clash and were punish by the lone strike from Ziga Kous.
The goal came early and the visitors defended the advantage with their lives to progress into the play-off.
On their path, Zalgiris drop down to the Europa Conference League where they’ll play in the play-offs to get themselves into European football.
